The Grand Hotel Miramare occupies an elegant villa dating back to 1922, when it was constructed as the sumptuous coastal residence of the Lo Turco family.
Just a few years later, in 1926, the villa was transformed in hotel, then, as now, much appreciated for its vicinity to the center of Taormina and its magnificent panoramic location, gazing out across the sea which divides Sicily from Italy's mainland, towards the Calabrian coast.
Whilst an extensive range of modern facilities has been added to the hotel over the years, great care has always been taken to ensure that the original charm of the building remains unaltered.
